Great performance, tons of features

This system has it all. Plenty of inputs, network capability, quality-built speakers, and the sound decoding and Yamaha processing that makes its products so good. The sound quality and clarity produced from this system are simply excellent. You really have to hear it to believe it. Pure class.

"Airplay" works effortlessly, making it easy to stream audio from your iPhone (incl. music stored on your phone, music from sites such as Soundcloud, the audio from YouTube videos, and the audio from certain Apps such as the SiriusXM app.)

It is fun to try the different sound processing options that are programmed into the receiver. They all have their own very distinct sound. Also, "Adaptive DRC" is a neat feature that reduces the highs and lows of an input source, which is ideal for watching movies late at night on a lower volume setting.

The receiver has an HDMI input that is ARC compatible, meaning that an ARC-compatible TV can send audio from its built in apps (e.g. Netflix) to the receiver without the need for a separate optical cable. Also, compatible TVs can automatically power the receiver on and off along with the TV power.

I would recommend this system to anyone looking for a high quality system at a reasonable price.

Excellent sound for a fair price

The Yamaha YHT799UBL comes with the RX-475 receiver and 6ohm 3-way speakers, finished in wood. The sound is incredible, very clear - I can barely go to 0dB volume (and it goes up to +25dB!).

Also, the setup and installation is easy, you can use regular cables like those supplied or you can make your own with banana jacks on them. Airplay is a very good feature. Maybe there should be more online services, like Sirious XM, but that is not a star-down requirement.

Best one I found out there for this price. Easy to setup. Excellent sound quality. Very happy with the input/output options and features. Like I was, I'm sure you are tired of reading about them- just buy it! You won't be disappointed.
