Great for the price

I bought 5 pairs of these and running them through the Pyle 6 room selector + 100w x2 Technics receiver. Everything works great. When I first got them I wired a pair to the receiver just to hear them and I was very disappointed. I knew they would sound better once in the ceiling so I went ahead and put them in. Sure enough, once mounted in the ceiling and covered in fiberglass insulation in the attic they sound much better. I have the bass on the receiver cranked all the way up and treble at maybe 80% to get the right sound out of them. In the end the sound is B- or C+ but value is an A. If you want an "A" sound you will have to pay at least $100 for just one speaker. I have worked in an Audio store some years ago so I know what a good speaker sounds like. In the end I find these speakers plenty good for my house without the wife killing me for spending our vacation money. Just make sure to toss the included speaker wire in the parts bin and try this speaker enclosed in a wall or ceiling before returning if you don't like it.

I don't really have anything to compare them to because they are my first in-ceiling speakers. But I am enjoying them.
