Truly Big Sound from Small Speakers for Apartments or Condos

Wow, these small speakers sound simply amazing especially when you select small & 80Hz crossover setting in your 5.1 AVR receiver. (note: this setting sends the bass to the 8" powered subwoofer w/o leaving any frequency holes)
I literally shopped dozens of small home theater speaker systems, however they all sounded small & cheap with no mounting brackets.
I needed a small speaker system that would work with in the decore of my small apartment, however they must sound great especially when listening to music & watching movies with reference quality 5.1 audio.
Not only are these speakers are small they're very attractive (black) & come with Swing-out Wall Mount Brackets making it very easy to mount on your ceiling or walls. I mounted all of the satellites on the ceiling.
The 5voice matched Satellite speakers (rated to handle 100 watts) are very compact & sleek in their design , yet each speaker has a good hefty weight to it that reflect the size of the magnets they used .
All 5 Satellites have a retractable mounting bracket on the back that allows you to angle the speakers to point at least 6-8 different degrees of angle allowing to mount in odd shaped areas . The Body itself has 2 flat surfaces on the bottom that allow the speakers to stand straight up or at a small 10 degree incline as well . So many options for placing the speakers in limited space or surface areas .
The Satellite's produce very crisp & clean highs along with very full and rich midrange in virtually all the music I've played to date .
Additionally the 100 watt powered 8" downward firing subwoofer really puts out enough bass as to not disturb your neighbors, but when cranked up loud it will amaze you how musical it sounds. I would avoid turning the gain or volume control past the 12 o' clock position on the subwoofer, preferably at the 11 o' clock position for best sound with subwoofer placed in a corner either in the front or back corner near where you sit. & Turn the crossover setting to the max on the subwoofer to allow your AVR receiver to manage the bass frequencies.
I can guarantee you won't find any Bose system that will sound better than this system. It's a shame Harman International maker of Infinity Systems never promoted or advertised this home theater speaker system. It's truly a sleeper.
The HTS-10 speakers handle the volume levels very well. I have them matched to a Harman Kardom AVR-525 receiver at 75 watts RMS per channel or speaker. You would be hard pressed find small speakers to provide such clear sound and rich bass & the ability to play loud & clear as these little gems do.
I highly recommend you also buy a Radio Shack digital SPL meter to calibrate or match the loudness of each satellite speaker & get the Avia or Sound&Vision Home Theater Tune up DVD to calibrate your satellite speakers & subwoofer for maximum 3D sound realism & impact.
These speakers are very well-built & built to last. They altogether they weigh 43 pounds! Compare the weight to any other small speaker kit & you'll see how light weight (typically cheap) they really are.
You won't be disappointed with the sound 7 looks of the Infinity HTS 10 system.
Warning: Most small speakers do not come with mounting brackets or speaker stands creating extra work for placing the speakers for maximum response.
