Acoustic Audio HT-87 speakers ROCK! Great Value for the Money!

I bought these acoustic audio HT-87's on ebay about 6 years ago. The price was so low, I figured, they would be ok... But, not great, and I was trying to do a theater on a budget... What a SHOCK it was when I got them and the magnets on the back are HUGE! I hooked them up to my Onkyo 606 and these speakers are EXCELLENT sounding, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a low cost speaker system. All my friends that come over to see my theater are convinced I paid a TON of money for these speakers! heh, heh!
I even painted the grills black on the three in walls next to my theater screen in my basement. The others I left white, and mounted on my ceilings. Paired with acoustic audios 12 inch powered subwoofer, you have an AMAZING theater speaker system for pennies on the dollar! The installation wire that came with mine was thin (cheap), and I didn't use it. I used thick wiring instead as the wire you use MATTERS for speaker sound reproduction. They come with a board pattern to cut holes in your walls (make sure you use a stud finder first so you don't cut a hole where a stud is located!)and it didn't take long at all to install them all! If you are installing them in a ceiling and want to cut down on the noise above, you can get Enwall or Dynabox's sound dampening to keep the sound in the room you are using instead of the rest of the house.
I am still using these same speakers in my theater today, and they still sound just as good as they did when we hooked them up! Incredible value for the money. Using these speakers I was able to install a 130" Home Theater for under $2,000! And since that time we have watched tons of movies at home instead of at the theater! It is so nice to be able to have YOUR OWN food, and popcorn, and pause the movie when someone needs a potty break! You will still need some bass, so I bought the 12 inch 500 w self powered downfiring acoustic audio sub woofer. My theater sounds every bit as good as the movie theaters in my town! You need some type of sub with this system to really get the "booming" effects of action movies, so don't forget that part! These work without it, but the bass of a sub is worth the extra money.
The Acoustic Audio HT-87's are extremely good value for the money, and worth the purchase!
