Product Description

When specifications call for both audio performance and installation flexibility, Leviton and JBL have teamed up to create a unique solution: the AEH50 Surround-Sound Home Cinema Speaker System with 100 Watt Powered Subwoofer. Based on the same technologies and features that made JBL the speaker of choice for film recording professionals and movie theater designers, the AEH50 engineers them into an easy-to-live-with form factor that works in any living and listening environment.

The AEH50 Cinema Speaker System's two-way satellite speakers take their performance cues from JBL's renowned family of studio monitors, delivering smooth, accurate sound coverage throughout the viewing area. The powered subwoofer is engineered to generate full-frequency realism, providing the powerful bass foundation required to faithfully reproduce today's special- effects-rich film soundtracks. The System is a 5-channel surround-sound package that can easily be upgraded to 6- and 7-channel operation for 6.1 or 7.1 surround-sound operation with the optional matched AESS5 Expansion Satellite Speaker. The system uses standard audio wiring topology, with satellites connected directly to the AV receiver's speaker terminals and the subwoofer system connected to the receiver's SUB OUT or LFE OUT jacks. The AEH50 is compatible with the full range of surround, speaker and EQ modes available in today's AV receivers.

Great sound, but only an 8" sub

This setup sounds great. I purchased it to use in my recently finished 3 stall garage. It puts out plenty of sound for the 725sqft area. The only thing that I didn't like is that amazon advertised this setup as coming with a 10" sub, but it is only 8". That being said, the 8" sub puts out enough bass for my use, and it's only turned up half way. For the price you can't beat a setup like this with a quality name like JBL.

After a bad experience, settling for a cheaper AV receiver and speakers. I upgraded, and did my homework...I research for about six months talking to sound installers, professional sound guys, and even into commercial stuff. I wanted a premium sound with quality not just quantity...But still wanted quantity. The Bose sound great in the store and descent in my friends house. But having been recommended by the guys who are using and installing they said, for the money you can't go wrong with the JBL. Still a little sceptical I ordered the 5.1 first to make sure I would like it. Dude! I installed ran the wires and none are visible. Most people that come into the room don't notice the little black boxes and the sub is tucked out of the way in a corner. I totally shakes my 2200 sqft home it is awesome. Clear voices, impeccable sound detail with music, and great for movies. You know the first part of the movie every guy loves with the surround sound in the Theater! Yeah that quality. It is Awesome... I ordered two more speakers to complete my 7.1 surround sound...Imagine that. Do your research get what you like, but from one every day joe to another, you can't beat the quality for the price.

good system, great value

Excellent system with very good sound, not equivilant to high end systems costing 3-5x the price, but suits my needs perfectly. I needed a system that wires directly into my own amplifier where I run DVD, TV, CD's, AM/FM. etc through them, and also needed white to match light colors and white trim in faimly room. Speakers and sub woofer are very solid, and wall mounting system if of high quality. Very happy with the unit.
