Good Home Theater Speakers, just OK for Music...

If your looking for a good, solid and affordable Home Theater Speaker System, this is not a bad way to go. Keeping in mind that this is a system meant for home theater sound, you get a solid 5pc speaker system that is very comparable in size and sound to the Polk Audio monitor 50's and corresponding center channel and bookshelf speakers. A friend of mine had just bought the above mentioned Polk Audio system recently, so when my Jamo system arrived, we set them up simultaneously, both using an Onkyo 100w receiver to power them. They were almost identical in sound in every way. Keeping in mind that the Polk and Jamo systems at this price level will be somewhat lacking in music quality, with only 2 way response and a limited musical dispersion. You can get the most out of them musiclly by using the all channel stereo mode or the 5.1 music mode, and they will deliver a decent, moderately room filling sound field for music. But these are, after all, home theater speakers, and in that capacity they will produce a good, room filling sound, especially paired with a subwoofer, that will definitely enhance your DVD/BD movie or TV movie viewing experience, and give you a well matched and tonely balanced system for a budget price. I bought my system through TigerDirect, bundled with an Onkyo receiver, which is the way to go if need a speaker/receiver package, and want to save even more money than buying the speakers alone.

Excellent sound system with crystal clear sound quality!!!

I recently got Jamos on a very good deal, had not heard them before. So tried to get information online as well as asked some references who knows and appreciate good sound system...

I was highly impressed with the S426's that was purchased to replace my decent Polks. Room size is about 8 x 20, and with my projector it really changed the overall movie and music experience in my home theater! The music is more crisp and clear, sounds very alive and at times makes you close your eyes to "feel" the music... add a good woofer and the system is on dope!

Very impressed, highly recommend it! Above all, affordable.

For those wondering on comparison (bottom to top) - waaayyyy better than bose, much better than polks (I had these), and comparable to Paradigms (i heard those in a store and at a friends place, this was my benchmark)

Do NOT buy from tigerdirect! they will drop prices the next day and not let you adjust the price difference. Buy anywhere else, they would be reputed and reliable.

very solid bass/good high for stereo,the rear is awesome tested as stereo,they produced very good high and low for the sized they are,it's incredible,the center is excellent,overall they are compact with big sound,surely better than bose,these are a keeper.would recommand them to anyone,i'd compared these with my jbl/polk audio/boston acoustic on the entry level speakers,but they are decent enough.one thing though if you want to get them registered forget about it,it is imposible,not even the store who sell them have such information,not even klipsch who owned them.so if you blow your tweeters good luck.the company don't seem to care.so no registration means no warrantee.
