Product Description
The Energy Powera Bar instantly upgrades your sound system without requiring a receiver. Just plug in and stand back. The two-way soundbar houses two domed tweeters and two 3-inch drivers for clear, distortion-free sound reproductions. Those drivers are aligned in the exclusive Convergent Source Module (CSM). Unique to Energy speakers, the CSM technology places tweeters and mid-woofers in close proximity to act as a single source for coherent, seamless dispersion. The speaker effectively disappears, sonically. The soundbar comes complete with an 8-inch wireless subwoofer with a down-firing fiber composite cone and ported enclosure for precise, room-filling bass performance. Measuring 30-inches in length and exuding a contemporary look, the Energy Power Bar is the perfect companion for high-definition picture and a necessary substitute for underwhelming flat-screen speakers. The remote control learning feature allows the easy-to-install-and-use system to function via your existing TV controller. The Energy Power Bar is designed to quickly connect to most TVs without additional cables. An included digital optical cable connects to your TV's digital output and then to the back of the soundbar. For those few TVs without an optical audio output, there is also a 2-channel analog input (cable not included). The soundbar can be positioned on the included rubber feet on a shelf or stand or can be wall-mounted using the included easy-to-use mounting template.

Energy Power Bar Soundbar
By SteveJ
I listened to a whole bunch of soundbars before purchasing the Energy Power Bar Soundbar. And I am not disappointed. This soundbar is absolutely fantastic. I have had people at my house who really compliment me on my nice sounding TV.
I had the soundbar and sub-woofer working within 10 minutes out of the box. The soundbar learned to operate with both my Sharp LED HDTV and Direct TV Satellite remotes.
I have owned a pair of Energy speakers before. I really loved those speakers. So, I knew that the Energy soundbar was going to be good. And it is!!!!!

Easy setup, good sound.
By NWJeeper
First of all, if you want true surround sound that will fill a room with punching bass then this is not for you. This is a simple system for improving on the sound that most TV speakers provide. For us it was a way of solving a specific problem. As we have a Hitachi plasma TV that had a bad sound card and thus no sound and we were faced with an expensive repair bill (if parts could even be found) or just tossing an otherwise good TV. By connecting this soundbar to our Dish Network receiver we were able to continue to use our TV. Setup is very easy, connect the power to both the bar and the sub, connect the bar to the source (TV or cable, dish box) and your off and running. Programming the bar to our Dish Network remote was easy once I figured out that the instructions are a bit off. Instructions say to hold the status/mute buttons together for 3 seconds after which the green light would turn to an orange blinking light, then programming can commence, well, I never got an orange light, it just stayed green and started blinking, but I continued with the sequence and was able to program the volume and mute keys just fine. As the TV is in our bedroom and we really don't care about true surround sound this bar works great for us. You should also know that Energy is made by Klipsch, a company with lots of experience in audio. I have owned Energy products in the past and have always found them to be top notch at a bargain price.

Almost but not quite?
By wilson
I bought this system based on a recommendation from the store that it was the best sounding for the money. The install was a breeze and they even included a template for the mounting points that could be leveled and put on the wall...pretty cool. I set the unit up and hit power and was pleasantly surprised by the audio compared to the Panasonic led tv... This is where my frustration started. There is no remote with this unit but it can learn commands from other remotes..BONUS. I used my tv remote and learned all the commands....the darn thing would only work about 25% time to remotely control the unit...I almost boxed it up then but thought I'd try my iHome remote from another device. The iHome remote worked for a few days flawlessly -- I was a happy camper. Then I came home one day and the iHome remote didn't work....bummer.....reprogrammed the soundbar and now it only worked a percentage of the time.. Next it quit receiving the audio signal from the tv...weird...no audio from only one component. As you can imagine I reset everything...unplugged and reprogrammed everything...nada damn thing wouldn't work. So at this point I reached my threshold of messing with the thing. I just like devices that work all the time with minimal fuss. I took it back and bought the Polk audio 6000. With all the same components and wires hooked it up and everything worked perfectly....even programmed it with my tv remote and it works flawlessly. I think the Polk audio sounds much better than the Energy bar....so my life is simple again I'm enjoying great audio from the Polk unit.
