One of the better compact speakers sets
By C. Gafton
This is a quality set of speakers that puts out a great sound. I finally got around to wiring them up for a test and based on their relative small size I was not expecting much - but I was pleasantly surprised into a wow! moment when I powered them up and gave them a listen. The satellites are very well matched; the subwoofer is quite compact and while it doesn't have the power to shake things in the room, it comes on as solid and manages to fill the lower end of the sound spectrum. There are some realities associated with the size of the sub though - it only goes down to ~40Hz, so it will clip the low end of massive movie explosions; on the other hand, to go down to <25Hz one would need to move up to a 12" sub instead of the 6" included here. That being said, if you are into big movie explosions and earth shattering bass beats you probably know better than to looks at a stylish, compact, discreet and high performance speaker set; this one is matched and tuned for mid-ranges and voices; the small and agile sub can also reach pretty high in the frequency range and adds color and to the sound produced by the satellites. I like this set very much, especially since - subjectively speaking - I feel like at the same sound level with my previous multiple 6" tower speakers, this set provides for a crisper dialogue that it is easier to understand.
On the question of value - there are many compact speaker sets out there built on flimsy plasticy frames that have poor sound and which have ultimately colored our impression on the sound quality we can expect out of a compact speaker set; this is one of those quality executions which proves that good sound can indeed come from small packages. And that impression starts from the moment you first pick them up - there is a quality engineering feel to these Made in Germany speakers that one doesn't ever get out of the more "affordable" Chinese made junk available on our stores' shelves. In this case it is true that you get what you pay for.

Great sound quality
By Amy Willingham
When first unpacking the box you can notice that these speakers are very small and nicely made, not cheap plastic. (Plus they are packed very well) The subwoofer even has a switch that you can On, Off, and Auto which I thought was very unique for a sound system when when I compare it to another one that I have (Panasonic SC-BTT195 3D Blu-Ray Disc 5.1 Surround Sound Home Theater System)The overall design is very looks amazing plus it gives you the option of mounting your speaking or leaving them unmounted which I thought was a plus. Total time for setup was only about 15min because it was very easy and straightforward. When wanting to use the speakers it is also very easy to turn and can get sound.
The sound quality is just beautiful. Clear, crisp, and theater quality sound that really surprised me from such small speakers. The back speakers are mounted on my back wall and when I have the sound turned on I can feel the vibrations on the wall below the speakers. We watched an action movie just to get the fell of all the guns and explosions and I have to say that I could literately hear every gun shot. It was so cool!
The price might be steep but when looking for quality and design I have to say that you get what you pay for. I have owned a few other speaker systems in the past and this has to be one of the best ones that I haves owed to date right along with my Bose.

I'm amazed
By S. Peterson
I'm not an audiofile. In fact, I'm a typical middle aged male going a bit deaf. But I'll be straight forward. The sound this system produces is amazing. I feel like I'm in a real theater. In fact, now that movies are being released on DVD earlier I'm just waiting. The big blockbuster action movies with explosions and lasers and mayhem are the best. You're surrounded by chaos that sends the cat running for it's life. A couple times I even turned around because of the rear speakers and the stuff going on behind me. Maybe I'm easily impressed. I scored with this system!
