Was shocked that Amazon did not posses a review for this speaker system

Well first off let me say that I have been a proud owner of this system, in a 7.1 configuration for over 4 years. This is my setup; I have a Yamaha RXV-2700, a HP entertainment pc, a Xbox 360, a PS3, and a 61 inch Samsung LED projection tv. The first thing I really want to stress is that these speakers have really shown brightly through multiple mediums of entertainment and music. I have been into the sound and video scene since I was a teenager and my passion and enthusiasm for this stuff never really goes away. Let me first remark at the sensitivity of these speakers. If you have a lower power receiver you can get away with this setup. I believe they are setup at 93db sensitivity so they are remarkably sensitive to any volume changes. I would recommend spending at least 700$ on your preferred brand of receiver to really make this setup perform like a champ. My standard is usually cut in half, what I spend on speakers is what I spend on the receiver. These speakers have both competitive and unparalleled price value. I bought my 7.1 setup for under 1400$ including shipping and handling. That is 8 speakers for under 2 grand....amazing. Most people who you might talk to compare these speakers to Klipsche. That would be an very proper assessment. The setup just like the picture is a double driver, mid/high rang horn loaded tweeter. I like many who never came into contact with horn based home theater speakers was skeptical. All of my concerns where immediately put to rest when I finally set everything together. This system is a legitimate performer for anything under 3500$. Volumes are a matter of taste as every level of sound is near perfection. Value, Value, Value, cant say it enough; This configuration handles both movies and music with finesse and ease most out of the box systems or mid-level systems have trouble transitioning between music and movies. This is just not the case for Bic Acustech. I have used all the above devices and have never found an area that was lacking in coverage. I like running a Yamaha Rxv series receiver just for the fact that the performance is fairly spectacular for the price and they have many advanced features including presence channels which I run up front with the mains.The imaging and clarity is very good. Bottom line is this set really does offer performance out of its depth, just not in a negative way, in fact it just the other way around. Very few companies offer the research, build quality, clarity, and polished appearance that these speakers can offer. As a side note the sub is very smooth and a great performer. You would have to spend over 350-500 dollars on a sub alone to blow this one out of the water. I have logged a thousand hours or more on my system and at volumes of a 100watts or more and never had any issues. If you have been pandering about purchasing these speakers I hope I have nudged you in the proper direction. Just dont forget to have or get a quality receiver, it can make all the difference.

simply amazing!

Im writing this review because i want people to know these speakers are amazing
I bought this speaker package (bic acoustech pl89 5.1with pl200 subwoofer) 2 months ago i added a pair of pl76 and a pair of pl66 for my 9.1 home theater set up.
I hooked these speakers to my onkyo tx nr3010 9.2 140 watt/channel and i amazed the sound clarity these speakers produce. I tried from low to mid and high vollume its all sounds great . at max vollume its very loud but clear sound. The pl200 is amazing the amount of bass produce by this thing is impressive my room was shaking like earthquate lol i have to put it at only half way vollume. Over all i am very pleased with my home theater system.
For those of you who want to put together a home theater system with a budget bic acoustech is the way to go. You will not be disappointed.

Had for about 2 years

Solid for the money. Noticed not many reviews on this item so felt I needed to do so. I have recommend before and talked a friend into buying. We are both very happy with the buy. Comes with a nice 8yr warr not that youll needed it. These are solid speakers, provide very good sound for movies, music and games. The horns do not over power like some klipsch. I have had no ear fatigue or had anyone at my house ever complain as well. Very soft, clear sound. If you can deal with the size of the speakers youll be very happy. One a side note, when you pick them up make sure its not a small car. I was able to fit it all in but no one else could fit in my car. Do over due the receiver as they do not need tons of power to push. The last thing Ill add is that the sub alone is worth it. You hit low notes that will please you. Buy and be happy.
